Slipknot Tickets Leipzig and Hannover 2019

The wait is over… After months of teasing a revival following their fourth hiatus, Slipknot have finally announced a huge European tour to accompany their as yet unnamed new album. Slipknot tickets for the 2019 tour are on sale now and selling out quickly. The album, a follow up to 2014’s successful .5: The Gray Chapter, is set to be released in summer 2019. It features a full lineup of nine members, including new additions Alessandro Venturella on bass and Jay Weinberg on drums, replacing Donnie Steele and Joey Jordison respectively. The 2019 tour will be the first Slipknot tour since 2016, with the regular members all working on other projects since 2017. The band have been in regular writing and practice sessions throughout 2018 - though without vocalist Corey Taylor, who has been touring with his other band Stone Sour.

2019 Slipknot tour and album could be Shawn ‘Clown’ Crahan’s last?

In interviews, Shawn ‘Clown’ Crahan has hinted that 2019’s tour and album might be his last with the band, so this could be one of the last chances to grab Slipknot tickets for the current lineup. Crahan is the last remaining original band member, and was instrumental in the band’s founding in 1995 along with Paul Gray and Joey Jordison. After the tragic death of Paul Gray from an accidental overdose in 2010 the band’s future was uncertain, but they returned to touring in 2011 with a small number of European dates. Corey Taylor stated at the time that he felt that Gray would want them to continue without him, though Taylor himself felt ambivalent about returning. The album .5: The Gray Chapter, released in 2014, was named in memory of the bassist. Critics hailed it as a welcome return to Slipknot’s older sound from the albums Slipknot and Iowa.

Slipknot tickets on sale now for Germany summer 2019

Slipknot have recently released their first offering from the new album - the single is titled All Out Life, and demonstrates very clearly that Slipknot have not lost their edge with such lyrics as: “Old does not mean dead/New does not mean best”. The video, directed by Shawn Crahan, features a bus full of Maggots (Slipknot fans) all dressed in white jumpsuits, who arrive to dance in a warehouse to the song. They are then sprayed with what looks like blood, by mysterious black-clad figures standing on a mezzanine above them, before setting light to the bus and blowing it up. Fairly tame stuff for Slipknot, but as any true Maggot knows, this band is best experienced in the flesh - buy your Slipknot tickets now to make sure you don’t lose out.

Slipknot tickets - the only way to experience Slipknot is live

Famed for their aggressive, visceral live performances, really the only way to truly understand the chaos of Slipknot is to experience it for yourself. Anyone who thinks that Slipknot may have softened in their old age is mistaken - just two years ago, lead vocalist Corey Taylor broke his neck while headbanging onstage and didn’t even notice. After emergency surgery he took just two weeks out of the band’s tour schedule before returning! Slipknot show no signs of slowing down, as the new song demonstrates, and the album is expected to be no different. Fans and critics alike expect a welcome return to form from the upcoming album and tour - Slipknot tickets for shows in Leipzig and Hannover are available now, for anyone who dares to brave one of their shows!
